Finding Jonathan Adler

I stopped by Michael’s Arts & Crafts yesterday to pick up some supplies and was pleasantly surprised. They have a huge, new, line of decorative items by one of my favorite designers, Jonathan Adler.

I like to search for and collect vintage Adler pottery from the 1990’s. (My daughter gave me this iconic swan for Christmas a couple of years ago, but it is getting harder to find and the prices keep rising)

I loved all of what I saw yesterday! Pillows, vases, art, boxes—it had his signature style and is really nicely done.

There is also a lot of deep yellow, orange, pink and of course, black and white.

Blue is the dominant color for most of the collection which mirrors what I saw last week in many of the design showrooms at NeoCon in Chicago.

Everything had Adler’s graphics, 1970’s vibe and was bursting with pattern and color.

I am in love with this ladybug pillow!

This collection at Michael’s is unique, colorful, and beautifully designed—a fun and affordable way to add personality to your home this summer. And if history is any guide, today’s Jonathan Adler finds may well become tomorrow’s collectibles.
