All About Me
Designing spaces that tell your story
Welcome to the world of Patrice Munden Interior Design! I am an interior designer, educator, and passionate curator of vintage treasures. For me, a home is far more than walls and furniture — it is a sanctuary, and a place where beauty and meaning should live side by side.
With nearly three decades of experience, I’ve transformed countless houses into homes that embody the personalities and lifestyles of the people who live in them. In 2008, I published The Home Project File, a design manual that empowered DIY decorators to plan with confidence. My voice has also reached readers through The Home Files newsletter, a monthly design column for The Patch, and my blog, The Design Pose.
My work has been featured in:
• The St. Louis Post-Dispatch
• The Ladue News
• St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles
• Studio 3 Magazine
• Better Homes & Gardens
• Elegant Living
• St. Louis At Home Magazine
William Morris once said: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not believe to be useful or beautiful.”

Portfolio

For five years, I have taught interior design at Steven’s Institute for Business & Art (Siba) in downtown St. Louis. Guiding students through the craft — from fabric selection and space planning to mastering the language of color — has been one of my greatest joys. Watching them confidently design or renovate entire homes with these skills is profoundly rewarding.

Passions
Beyond design, I am inspired by objects with history and character. I buy and sell antique décor, books, art, and vintage collectibles — pieces with patina that whisper stories of the past. From Art Deco elegance to Mid-Century Modern simplicity, I curate hand-crafted treasures from around the world. You can find my collections at Warson Woods Antique Gallery in St. Louis and in my online store, Vintage Grand, on eBay.
When I’m not designing or curating, you’ll find me biking, reading, writing short stories, or enjoying the timeless charm of classic films.
